DADS
Description
DADS (Digital Air Defense System) is an anti-aircraft fire guidance system consisting of the search radar, the tracking radar, the digital fire guidance computer and a data interface. DADS is designed for use on-board vehicles carrying anti-aircraft weaponry, but may also be used as stand-alone system for guidance of several unmanned anti-aircraft guns.
Game Use
DADS has a 5 map range for detecting aircraft. It detects and tracks any aircraft inside this 5 map range.
DADS provides a -3 modifier-to-fire against aircraft and airborne VTOLs, but also a +2 modifier-to-fire against vehicles and 'mechs. When using an unarmed DADS vehicle providing targeting data for unmanned guns, the modifiers are -2/+3.
