Indomitable
Overview: Wittwex Inc.'s Indomitable is a 40-ton Hovercraft armed
with an AC/5 and an SRM-2. It is a cheap, reliable vehicle designed for hard
work in the field.
A major advantage of the Indomitable is the internal combustion engine. While slightly heavier than a fusion engine, it is cheap, emits no harmful radiation, is easier to service, harder to detect and available in large numbers. Wittwex Inc. thinks that ICEs are the engines of choice for vehicles.
The Indomitable uses two large fans for propulsion, allowing movement even after the destruction of one fan.
Employment: With its top speed of almost 130kph, the Indomitable can easily outrun most 'Mechs. The AC/5 allows it to fight battles over long range. The Wittwex WAC-5, while being a fairly low-tech weapon, offers outstanding reliability and endurance. The SRM-2, which has the best effect when loaded with Inferno ammunition, has a devastating effect on 'Mechs. One of the tactics employed with the Indomitable is to race towards an enemy 'Mech, set it on fire, then leave its weapon range as quickly as possible. A burning enemy 'Mech, slow and easy to hit, is now easy prey for more heavily armed units or LRM or artillery fire called in and directed by the Indomitable vehicle. The SRM-2 Inferno also works great for setting larger areas on fire, creating a smoke curtain that will prevent enemy fire.
Besides pure military or militia use, the Indomitable is a good choice for law enforcement agencies, businessmen and everyone else who wants to get home safely. Contact your local dealer for information about versions without weapons.
