
PRV-1 Privateer
'Mechs that can be refitted: All Trebuchet (TBT-??) variants.
Changes involved: Removal of all weapons and armor. Actuator, myomer, engine, and targeting/tracking system overhaul. Installation of hand (including actuators) at the right arm. Adding of Magna Mk.III large laser to the right hand, two Magna Mk.II medium lasers to the left forearm, Luxor 3R-LSR 10 to the right torso, two M100 machine guns to the left torso, and 9 tons of Starshield armor
Employment: The Privateer is designed for use alongside the Trebuchet. While the Trebuchet works best as fire-support unit, the Privateer has better close-combat and anti-infantry capabilities. Users of Trebuchet/Privateer lances need only have Trebuchet spare parts in stock, as both 'Mechs (except for some of the weapons) use the same parts. Unlike the Centurion, the Privateer can easily keep pace with the Trebuchet, offers better armor protection, a non ammo-dependent main weapon system and two machine guns against infantry.
Time required for conversion: 1-5 weeks, depending on the availability of workers and the condition of your Trebuchet.
Cost: Depending on the condition of your Trebuchet. We won't deliver a 'Mech that's not in top notch condition, so converting a damaged or heavily used 'Mech will increase the cost. Price is based on the workhours required, the weapon and equipment prices, and the price for necessary armor upgrades and repairs.
We pay fair prices for the obsolete LRM-15s and the medium laser of your Trebuchet.
